Because it is important...

For weeks, I have wanted to get on here and fill in the gaps of the time I've neglected to record. The days are full, or crazy, maybe both. So I wait for time, for quiet, and for inspiration. Other things always come first. And now, Christmas has come and gone. Thanksgiving and seven birthdays over. Charlie was here. Ella turned two, my dad turned 75, and Thomas turned one yesterday. And in all that, I was too busy with shopping and laundry, distracted with housework and sickness. Lost too many hours mindlessly reading Facebook and playing games on my iPad. The quiet didn't come and I lost track of why I need to make the time to blog. Life took over and I gave up. But this isn't just something I do for myself, or as a hobby. Housework will always be a part, a big part of my life, but it isn't what I want to look back on in years to come. I love sitting with the kids reading old posts and remembering all those things that would be gone from my memory if I hadn't made time. So, I'm back. New year, new resolve. Lots of pictures, for sure. Posts that more than likely will be short and sweet but that capture the moment. This is my gift to my children, to our family, and to myself. If I bless someone else's life along the way, that's just gravy! ;-) (first order of business will be to figure out how to blog from this iPad!).
